Pat's dining room valance

This valance was exactly what the room need to be finished off. I was able to do this long distance for the client. Just a few simple measurements and we were in business. The installation was a breeze with simple to follow instructions. The client called when the valance was installed and was so thrilled. I love when I can have an impact on a client's surrounding and they live hundreds of miles away. It truly is a global world!

Tammy's chairs

This was a very easy fix to some beautiful chairs and bar stools. They were a little worn so they received a "face lift". The right fabric can make all the difference!

IDA artwork

Here is just a small sample of artwork that was done for the IDA convention being held this year in Arizona. Some of the proceeds goes to the Arizona IDA branch. I love being a member of this great organization. I love giving back.

youth room cabinets

With the recent flood in the Nashville area our church's youth room flooded. To make a long story short someone donated some replacement cabinets to be used in the youth room. The cabinets were beaten up and not the right style for the room. The youth leader asked if I would be willing to refinish the cabinets. Here is the end product! The whole room is done in black and green as the accent. It's a great feeling to be able to help others and to love what you are doing at a the same time. Nothing better!

susie's outdoor cushions

Outdoor furniture cushions --I had so much fun making these cushions. I love when I can push myself into learning and creating something new. The before and after pictures says it all. What a difference fabric can make. It's like a whole new piece of furniture. What fun!

Black and white pencil drawing of my oldest daughter, Becky. A color pencil drawing of my youngest daughter, Jenny. These were Christmas presents one year. Both girls loved the gifts and it's fun to freeze time in art. Becky was 12 and Jenny about 4. I love going back to my roots of simply drawing.
It truly is when I'm the happiest!

diningroom art

Here is a very contemporary artwork done for a dinning room. These types of paintings are so much fun for me to create. Can you guess how I did all the wiggle lines? Squeezable ketchup bottles. You never know what I will use next to create. Inspiration is all around us. It's just a matter of looking at things differently and using them creatively!

bathroom painting

Here is a simple flower painting that I painted for a small hallway bathroom. The bathroom was painted in a light sage and need just a pop of color. I love the added texture to the painting. Not sure if it comes across in the photo.

Eileen's master

As you can see from the photos the room started off very dark. The paint color was left over from the previous owners. As much as I like the color red, it just wasn't working in this room. The furniture was very traditional, dark and large. There was only one window in the room for natural lighting. I wanted to keep everything light to expand the space and make it appear more spacious. I started off by choosing a lighter wall color. The bed needed to be light in color as well as texture. I made a white reversible duvet cover with gold accents on one side and a soft overall pattern on the other side. I added the Toile print pillows to add a touch of blue to the bedding so that it would tie into the ceiling color as well as the master bathroom wall color. The same fabric was used for the bed skirt. The room also had blue-gray carpet that needed to work with the design. There were some rust color accents used before that I wanted to reintroduce to the room. The rust accents gives the room the punch it needed. I did a simple pencil pleated drapery with blackout lining. The one request from the husband. The end results looks more polished and pulled together. It's amazing how a little color change can improve an entire room. It's truly is a master bedroom retreat!

Contemporary bedroom created by Grommet Draperies. I love Grommets! The client wanted Blackout lining because she works second shift. These heavy micro-suede drapers keeps the light out and makes for easy sleeping during the day. The client loves how the room turned out and is amazed at how dark the room stays in the day time.

This contemporary bedroom was created with Grommet Draperies. I love Grommets! The client wanted to use Blackout lining because she works second shift. These heavy micro-suede drapes keep the light out and makes for easy sleeping in the day. A color wash as added to the ceiling. It is done in brown, cream and sage green. The wall were painted in a light sage green but unfortunately, didn't photograph well. I added grommet pillows on the bed to tie the whole room together. The client loves her new cozy room.

my kitchen ceiling

I created this faux treatment on the kitchen ceiling to look like leather. I also created the window treatment to match the decor of the kitchen.

my dining room

This feature wall in a dining room was created first by doing a color wash over the entire room. I then created a pattern that came from the client's inspirational fabric. To finish it off, I came back over the entire wall and aged the surface to give the illusion of old world.

my fireplace

I created a faux finish for this fireplace. Before it was a very dark red brick with paint spilled over it. The only solutions -- faux!
